Grant is a qualified Physiotherapy Assistant (Dip. PTA) and Active Rehab Coach with over a decade of clinical experience. After earning his Physiotherapy Assistant Diploma in 2010, he worked at private clinics in Toronto, assisting physiotherapists with treatments and leading free weight classes. Grant also combined his passion for traditional martial arts with his career, serving as an assistant instructor at various martial arts schools.
Since joining Brickhouse Physiotherapy in 2024, Grant has advanced his skills through one-on-one training with Esther (MSc PT) and further educational courses in Soft Tissue and Myofascial Release.
Under Esther’s guidance, Grant leads Rehab Sessions focusing on hands-on therapy, modalities, and exercise coaching, offers Physiotherapy Soft Tissue Release Sessions, and supports Esther in select treatments.
In Grant’s free time, he leads an active lifestyle, enjoying fitness, reading, and practicing Qi Gong and other martial arts. He is also learning horseback riding.
Grant’s easygoing and warm personality, paired with his passion for fitness and natural hands-on aptitude, make him an integral part of the Brickhouse team!
Education and Experience
Esther holds a BSc (Hons) in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph and an MSc in Physiotherapy from McMaster University. After graduating over 15 years ago, she worked at a multidisciplinary Sports Medicine Clinic in Guelph, ON, before moving to Durham Region to gain further experience in a private clinic setting.
In 2022, Esther founded Brickhouse Physiotherapy in Sunderland, ON, where she is honored to serve the local community.
A lifelong learner, Esther has pursued numerous postgraduate courses, including those in manual therapy, acupuncture and dry needling, therapeutic taping, TMJ, hand injuries, and more.
Life
In her free time, Esther enjoys a variety of recreational activities. She has competed in rock climbing, crossfit, ultimate frisbee, and short triathlons. She loves spending time with her two children and enjoys regular runs and working with her horses.

Her treatment approach integrates manual therapy, personalized exercise programs, and education to support long-term health outcomes. She also extensively uses IMS/dry needling/acupuncture in her practice.
