Grant (Physiotherapy Assistant) obtained his PTA Diploma in 2010 and has many years’ experience working in private physiotherapy clinics assisting physiotherapists with their treatments and running free a variety of exercise classes.

Grant has a passion for traditional style martial arts and also worked as an assistant instructor running classes at a number of martial arts schools.

At Brickhouse Physiotherapy, Grant runs Active Rehab Sessions under Esther’s direction, and assists her in carrying out treatments in some of her own sessions.

In Grant’s free time, he enjoys hiking, reading, and fitness. He regularly practices Qi Gong and other martial arts.

Education

Esther graduated from the University of Guelph with her BSc (Hons) in Human Kinetics, then attended McMaster University and obtained her MSc in physiotherapy. Since graduating over 15 years ago, she has gained much experience treating clients in a private clinic setting.

Esther enjoys learning and seeks to continually develop herself professionally. She has taken many courses including those in manual therapy (hands on study), acupuncture and dry needling, therapeutic taping, TMJ, hand injuries, and others.

Life

Recreationally, Esther enjoys many activities and in the past has competed in rock climbing, crossfit, ultimate frisbee, and short triathlons. Esther enjoys spending time with her two children and taking time to herself for regular runs and horseback riding.

Mission/Philosophy

Whether it’s helping you prevent injury, deal with an aging body and life demands, recover after surgery, or achieve a sports or other life goal, she is here to help you BUILD YOUR HEALTH.

Esther’s mission is to assist and equip you in the pursuit of better health.

Her approach to treatment consists of manual (hands-on) therapy, customized exercise programs, and education. She feels this approach is best for the long term outcome of her clients’ health. She also uses IMS/dry needling/acupuncture extensively in her practice.
